Knot Bad Textiles started the way most of our ideas do—over drinks, laughing about how unhinged our brains can be. At some point we realized the world could use more of that energy: more humor, more irreverence, and fewer moments that take themselves too seriously. So instead of just talking about it, we decided to build it.
We’re Marky and Jakey, and if you know us, you know we don’t do anything halfway. Knot Bad isn’t a dropshipping operation, a shirt-arbitrage brand, or a mass-market label chasing trends. Every design starts in our slightly chaotic brains and is printed by us, in-studio.
We release designs in limited runs, so you won’t see the same shirt on everyone at the bar or the party. When a design is gone, it’s gone.
No sweatshops. No fast-fashion giants. Just two guys in Salt Lake City making the things we wish existed—and having a lot of fun doing it.
